The medina is a complete part of the history of Rabat, the capital of the Kingdom of Morocco. Erected in a typical Moorish-Andalusia style, in the bustling medina, Ryad Sidi Fatah will charm you by using traditional materials in its fine decor combined with modern comfort. A perfect place for your vacation.Moroccan cities like Marrakech, Fez, and Meknes overload one's senses with impressions: mazes of narrow alleyways, in which artisans in tiny niches tinker at silver platters, lead past mosque entrances adorned with complex ornamental tiles. The smell of saffron and cumin ascend from the stands of herbal vendors; the taste of mint tea that the merchant poured before haggling for a "good price" for his carpets, still lingers in one's mouth. The cultural mix of Arabs, Berbers, and the many traces of French and Portuguese colonial rule makes Morocco the ideal vantage point to explore all of northern Africa. The largest Moroccan cities are easily reached by train - from Tangier, near the Strait of Gibraltar, the train leads through the royal headquarters of Rabat and the metropolis of Casablanca all the way to Marrakech
This Riad was originally intended to be the private house of the owner and his family. Being the former national champion in boxing, having had his career as a professional boxer and living abroad ,Jamal Jaouani decided that a big summer residence in Morocco where he would spend only a few weeks of the year and otherwise leave empty could be used for a much better purpose. He wanted to contribute in his own way to the development of his country. He wanted to show another face of Morocco than the traditional charter vacation in Marrakech.
